Amendment 22

The 22nd Amendment limits how long someone can be President. It says a person can only be elected to the presidency twice, so no one can serve more than two terms (8 years total). This was created to prevent any one person from having too much power for too long.

The video explains that the 22nd Amendment limits a president to two terms in office (a maximum of 8 years). It was created after Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected four times, which made people worry about one person having too much power. So, the amendment was passed to make sure no future president could serve more than two terms, keeping a balance of power in the government.
